About us

Agriscope was established in 1999 to provide machine design, build and field testing services to the agricultural machinery root crop sector.

Over the years the business has evolved to provide a more comprehensive after-sales service to many customers in the Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire, Yorkshire and Derbyshire regions.

In 2016 we became an approved main dealer for the world-renowned range of Merlo Telehandlers and following previous successful experience working together to support Merlo users in our region, the present owners Marc Shaw and Richard Troop with the help of an able and growing team quickly progressed to the Gold Standard attained by only the best Merlo dealers in the country, an achievement our team works hard to maintain each year to ensure the best service to our equally hard working customer base.

Today our team of highly skilled engineers are never far away to provide field support to you and keep your machines working in tip-top condition.

Richard Troop

Richard Troop is founder and managing director of Agriscope Ltd. He has extensive knowledge of agricultural practice, having worked throughout the UK and Europe. Experienced in design, manufacture and product support he helps the team find and deliver timely, cost effective solutions to customers’ machinery needs.

Marc Shaw

Marc Shaw, brings a wealth of field experience to the service director role combining technical skills learnt the hard way in the commercial vehicle, construction and agricultural machinery sectors. He applies decades of troubleshooting know-how to ensure our engineers are equipped to work to a high standard and swiftly resolve any technical issues.
